Explore the Active Volcano

Join us for this amazing trek on the active volcano, Mount Batur.  Starting in the dark of the early morning, we'll ascend to the highest peak and crater for a glorious sunrise and stunning morning views.  While there we will breakfast on tea and eggs boiled in volcanic steam.   During our descent, we will explore the three younger craters and the most recent lava flows while we take in the amazing volcanic landscape.

Choose between our regular package, straight from your hotel to orientation, or a more leisurely experience with an overnight stay in the beautiful village of Toya Bungkah, famous for its volcanic hot springs!

ITINERARY

Pick up time: Pick-up at hotel, and transport directly to the starting point in the village of Toya Bungkah.
03:15 – 03:30: Arrival at starting point, introduction and safety procedure briefing by our English-speaking Explainer/Tour Guide
03:30 – 03:45: Begin trail trek to Mount Batur.
04:00 – 06:00: Continue our climb to the summit crater.
06:15 – 06:45: Arrival at the summit crater, where we witness the spectacular view and sunrise. While there we enjoy refreshments of hot tea and eggs boiled in volcanic steam…

Itinerary Continued – 4 Hour Trek

07:00: Begin descent to Toya Bungkah village.
08:00: Arrival at Toya Bungkah village, and board mini-bus.
11:00 – 11:30: Return arrival at your hotel,

Itinerary Continued – 6 Hour Trek

07:00: Continue our trek around the entire crater.
08:00: Begin our descent to Jati Temple, the finishing point of our trek.
09:00 – 09:30: Arrival at Jati Temple and board mini-bus.
12:00 – 12:30: Return arrival at your hotel,

The Highest Peak in Bali

This is the hardest and most beautiful Bali trek we offer.  We start from Besakih, the mother temple of Bali, at 11:30 p.m., and climb through the jungle to the highest point in Bali, the summit of holy Mount Agung.  From the top of this mountain, you will witness a sunrise like none you've ever seen.  You will be able to gaze at the entire island of Bali from above, as well as view the neighboring islands of Lombok and Nusa Penida.  The entire journey takes approximately twelve hours.

ITINERARY

Pick up Time: Pick-up at hotel, and transport directly to the starting point at Besakih Temple.
23:15–23:45: Arrival at starting point, introduction and safety procedure briefing by our English-speaking Explainer/Tour Guide.
23:45: Begin our climb to the summit and sunrise point.
06:00: Arrival at the summit, where we witness the spectacular view and sunrise. While there we enjoy beverage refreshments and a light snack.
07:30: Begin our descent to Besakih Temple, the finishing point of our trek.
13:00–13:15: Arrival at Besakih Temple and boarding car/mini-bus.
13:30: Arrival at Puri Archa Restaurant for a relaxing buffet lunch.
14:15–14:30: Boarding car/mini-bus and depart from restaurant.
