Trekking with the Gods

The Batur Caldera is one of the most beautiful in the world.  It has been described as "Trekking with the gods."  After climbing the caldera wall you will trek along the edge of the vast crater, where you will experience the most  beautiful views in Bali.   This journey will take you through the most "untainted" villages in Bali, including the Bali Aga village of Trunyan where you can witness the fascinating animistic customs of the "original Balinese."

ITINERARY

SHORT TRIP

Pick Up Time: Pick up at your hotel and boarding mini bus to Volcano Breeze Café at Toyabungkah
04.00-04.30: Arrival at Volcano Breeze Café Toyabungkah, having morning hot tea or coffee.
04.30-04.45: Boarding mini bus to Ulundanu, the starting point
05.00-05.15: Arrival at Ulundanu, begin trail trek up to Caldera wall.
05.45-06:00: Arrival at top of caldera, where we witness the spectacular view and sunrise, while there we enjoy refreshment of hot tea or local hot coffee
06.30-07.00: Continue our trek around caldera crater (along this walk we’ll see/visit the traditional Balinese mountains people and homes) and begin our descent to Pulak (tiny little village on shore) where our traditional canoe/boat is waiting for pick up.
08.30-09.00: Leaving Pulak on traditional canoe/boat then cross the lake Batur to Toyabungkah(hot springs village)
09.30-10.00: Arrival at Volcano Breeze Cafe at Toyabungkah and back to the Hotel or next destination.

LONG TRIP

Pick Up Time: Pick up at your hotel and boarding mini bus to Volcano Breeze Café at Toyabungkah
04.00-04.30: Arrival at Volcano Breeze Café Toyabungkah, having morning hot tea or coffee.
04.30-04.45: Boarding mini bus to Ulundanu, the starting point
05.00-05.15: Arrival at Ulundanu, begin trail trek up to Caldera wall.
05.45-06:00: Arrival at top of caldera, where we witness the spectacular view and sunrise, while there we enjoy refreshment of hot tea or local hot coffee
06.30-07.00: Continue our trek around caldera crater (along this walk we’ll see/visit the traditional Balinese mountains people and homes) and begin our descent to Trunyan traditional village.
10.00-10.30: Arrived at Trunyan village, see the local temple then continue our walk around the lake (along the walk you can see the local people working on their field)
12.00-12.30: Arrived at Abang village where the bus is waiting, and leaving the village for Toyabungkah.
12.30-13.00: Arrival at Volcano Breeze café Toyabungkah for having lunch
14.00-14.30: Leaving Volcano Breeze Café Toyabungkah and back to the hotel or next destination.

The Highest Peak in Bali

This is the hardest and most beautiful Bali trek we offer.  We start from Besakih, the mother temple of Bali, at 11:30 p.m., and climb through the jungle to the highest point in Bali, the summit of holy Mount Agung.  From the top of this mountain, you will witness a sunrise like none you've ever seen.  You will be able to gaze at the entire island of Bali from above, as well as view the neighboring islands of Lombok and Nusa Penida.  The entire journey takes approximately twelve hours from Besakih or eight hour from Pasar Agung Temple.

BESAKIH STARTING POINT:

ITINERARY

Pick up Time: Pick-up at hotel, and transport directly to the starting point at Besakih
23:15–23:45: Arrival at starting point, introduction and safety procedure briefing by our English-speaking Explainer/Tour Guide.
23:45: Begin our climb to the summit and sunrise point.
06:00: Arrival at the summit, where we witness the spectacular view and sunrise. While there we enjoy beverage refreshments and a light snack.
07:30: Begin our descent to Besakih Temple, the finishing point of our trek.
13:00–13:15: Arrival at Besakih Temple and boarding car/mini-bus.
13:30: Arrival at Puri Archa Restaurant for a relaxing buffet lunch.
14:15–14:30: Boarding car/mini-bus and depart from restaurant

PASAR AGUNG TEMPLE STARTING POINT:

01:30–01:45: Arrival at starting point, introduction and safety procedure briefing by our English-speaking Explainer/Tour Guide.
01:45: Begin our climb to the summit and sunrise point.
06:00: Arrival at the summit, where we witness the spectacular view and sunrise. While there we enjoy beverage refreshments and a light snack.
07:30: Begin our descent to Pasar Agung Temple, the finishing point of our trek.
11:00–11:15: Arrival at Pasar Agung Temple and boarding car/mini-bus.
12:30: Arrival at Puri Boga Restaurant for a relaxing buffet lunch.
13:15–13:30: Boarding car/mini-bus and depart from restaurant.
